We have designed this talk to bring you through Ireland’s ancient history by viewing and exploring the treasures of the archaeology museum . From the sacred to the profane, our journey will introduce us to the sun worshipers of neolithic times, the butter churners of the dark iron age, relics of revered saints body parts, mummified bodies and Psalters containing ritual texts. We will place ourselves in the direct space of Dublin by exploring the artefacts revealed from the excavations of the Viking town found at Christchurch in 1979.
